The Story
Ganesha wasn't always the way we know him. Parvati creates a boy to guard her door while she bathes — and Shiva, not recognising him, cuts off his head. What follows is how the elephant head comes to be, and how the boy becomes "Ganapati" — first to be worshipped. Later, when his brother Kartikeya challenges him to a race around the world, Ganesha doesn't run. He walks around his parents instead — and wins.

Read together, always. It's told entirely in pictures with no long paragraphs to decode alone — the idea is you read the story out loud while your child follows the pictures, asks questions, and points at their favourite panels. That back-and-forth is the whole point.
What age is this for?
Best from 2 years onward, alongside an adult. Toddlers enjoy the pictures and the read-aloud voice even before they follow the full story; by 3-4 they start asking what happens next on their own.
