At VedaPlay, every maze is checked, tested, and packed with care before it leaves us. Here's what you should know before and after you buy.
Why does the box say 3+ years?
That's a BIS certification requirement, a labeling rule we're required to follow, not a reflection of what the maze is actually built for. In real use, with real families, it works beautifully from 15 months onward. The sweet spot is 2 to 5 years.
Why doesn't it light up or make sound?
On purpose. No lights, no sounds, no screen. Those grab attention instantly but don't build it. A young mind learns focus slowly, through touch, story, and repetition, not through quick stimulation. In the first few days, sit with your child, tell them the story on the board, and let them come to it. That patience is the whole point, and it's what makes the learning last.
Why does the magnet feel a little weak?
On purpose, same as the no-lights, no-sounds design. We rejected lightweight plastic balls, the kind most cheap magnetic mazes use, because they are a safety hazard and they snap and zip across the board with almost no effort. VedaPlay uses solid wooden discs instead. Wood carries real weight, so the magnetic pull is deliberately slower and firmer. Your child has to guide each disc with intention, not flick it. That slower pull is what builds patience, calm focus, and fine motor control, it isn't a fault, it's the whole design. For the smoothest experience, play on a flat, hard surface.
Is it safe for younger children?
- Every magnetic disc is sealed under a shatterproof acrylic cover, never loose, never removable.
- Your child moves them with a stylus made of high-grade ABS plastic, the same premium-grade material used in building blocks like Lego.
- The discs and magnets are deliberately thick and chunky, easy for a child to see and recognize, unlike the tiny loose plastic balls found in cheaper magnetic mazes.
- The board is solid birch wood, naturally antimicrobial.
- Every board is safety tested before it ships.
Our Return & Refund Policy
We stand fully behind the quality of what we make. If your maze arrives damaged, defective, or is the wrong item, we'll replace it or refund you in full within 7 days of delivery. Just share an unboxing video, or clear photos showing the issue, along with your Order ID, no forms, no back and forth.
Every character, story, and board is shown clearly on our product pages and in our videos before you buy, nothing is a surprise once it arrives. Because of that, we're not able to offer returns or exchanges for a change of mind, or because a child prefers a different character. You're choosing exactly what you see, going in, and we've made sure there's a lot to see before you decide.
Bundles (2, 3, or 4-board sets)
Every board inside a bundle is shown individually before purchase, so a bundle order is a fully informed choice. Individual boards within a set can't be swapped for a different character after delivery. Damage, defect, or wrong item on any board in the set is still covered under the same 7-day policy above.
